Splendor was originally published as a board game in 2014 and was very popular; consistently ranking high by the users of boardgamegeek.com as well as being awarded with a Golden Geek award in the year of its release. The digital version is very polished with high production values and lush graphics. The game is published by Days of Wonder who are well known for their fantastic digital versions of the board games Ticket to Ride and Small World 2. The interface (specifically the vertical deck slots) is somewhat reminiscent of Hearthstone although the two games play quite differently. The game can be played solo or with up to four players pass and play. The developers are currently working on adding online multiplayer features.

Players vie for prestige (victory) points by trying to build the most impressive jewel trade. The game implements some market and deck building mechanics. More information regarding game play and the digital version is available in the videos linked below.
