Ticket to Ride is a digital adaptation of the best selling board game by Days of Wonder. The game is easy to learn for for both gamers and non-gamers and fun to play. The original board game is very well known and has sold many copies and won several awards.

Ticket to Ride is a train themed board game that can be learned in a few minutes and played by up to four people in a period of around 30-40 minutes. At the beginning of the game each player is dealt three random route cards of which they must keep at least one. Any route cards a player keeps that they do not complete they are penalized for at the end of the game, so it is important to pick ones that are near one another or easy to compete. Each turn a player may take 2 train cards from the available train car deck, place a train that they have adequate cards for, or draw three more route cards (of which again, they must keep one). Players compete to try to complete the most route cards by the time the first player runs out of train pieces and the game ends. Additional points are awarded at the end of the game to the player with the longest train. There are expansions available that replace the default map of America with other nations, and sometime add new options of modifiers to the base rules.

The digital version of the game is available for nearly all popular desktop and mobile devices and features both synchronous and asynchronous cross platform multiplayer for up to four human or ai players. Multiple asynchronous games can played simultaneously and can be saved to be resumed at later times. The game also features an excellent lobby for multiplayer match making. Both the lobby and the game itself feature chat. This is one of the easier to learn and more enjoyable beginner level hobbyist board games and is highly recommended for gamers of all types and ages.

Here is a video of some pals and I playing made with the PC version some time ago. It is an older version of the game and unfortunately the video lacks commentary, but it still gives some idea of how a typical game of Ticket to Ride is played:
